Our Process

At our practice, we evaluate and treat children and young adults from ages birth-21.

Comprehensive Evaluations

The first step in our therapeutic process. Evaluations allow for the clinician to uncover underlying reasons for observable symptomology. A comprehensive evaluation will assess sensory, motor, behavioral, executive function, social, self-care, visual, and feeding concerns in any combination the clinician sees fit based on your concerns. Following the evaluation, a thorough report will be shared with you, in which details findings, recommendations and the proposed plan of care.

Intervention Sessions

After the evaluation, if occupational therapy is deemed to be necessary, intervention sessions will begin as soon as possible. These sessions are designed to address the challenge areas identified during the evaluation. Sessions have a large focus on parent collaboration.

Parent Consultation

These meetings are utilized to monitor progress, provide parent/caregiver education, and adjust intervention approaches as needed.

Clinical Collaboration

The clinician or parent may suggest partnering with related providers on an as-needed basis to collaborate for consistency among providers.

Observations

Observations can be hosted in naturalistic environments, and occur on an as-needed basis to assess environmental factors inhibiting participation and performance.

Re-Evaluations

Conducted to assess progress and identify challenge areas after participating in intervention sessions.
